Mihle Mvelakubi, Corobrik Building School Coordinator
WorldSkills is a global organisation that inspires young people to pursue excellence in skills through competitions, development of international standards in training, and influences industries and governments to build a skilled workforce. As a dedicated member of the WorldSkills Champions Trust, Mihle plays a crucial role in representing the voice of young talent within the WorldSkills movement. This esteemed role involves fostering engagement among WorldSkills Champions and driving active participation in various WorldSkills projects and initiatives
This year, Mihle's contributions extended beyond his role in the Champions Trust. He was honoured with an invitation to speak at the Brick-by-Brick Foundational Skills event in Paris, where he addressed key issues surrounding the enhancement of teaching and training skills on a global scale. Mihle's involvement in this event provided a valuable platform to highlight the importance of the work he and the rest of the Corobrik Building School does in communities around south Africa to empower and upskill brick laying artisans in the Construction Industry.
“This opportunity allows me to showcase our building schools and the vital work we do,” Mihle shared.
His participation not only highlights his personal dedication but also showcases the benefits of spotlighting skilled young workers on a global stage.
Mihle's journey at WorldSkills reflects the perseverance and excellence that define our work at Corobrik. As he inspires the next generation of artisans, we're excited to see the positive impact he’ll have on both the industry and the communities we serve.
